Natasha Jane Julian - Empty Spaces

Southern California pop star release edgy new single in
‘Empty Spaces’
LOS ANGELES, CA – Natasha Jane Julian is a charismatic singer and songwriter from Southern California who’s new take on alternative pop is sure to make the music industry sit up and pay attention.
This mother of two whose husband is involved in the racing business in France has been using her time out of the country to develop her own unique sound and style. And today she’s ready to unleash that sound to the world with a new single called “Empty Spaces.” It’s a song with an anti-bullying theme, which is something that she said is near-and-dear to her heart.
“It’s a song that tells the story of a young boy who is being bullied,” Natasha said. “I’m watching the fear across his face as he tries to run, but gets pinned to the ground. I’ve always had this really strong connection with people in need or people hurting – those going through bad situations. I’m always drawn to these types of people in these situations and I have a lot of compassion for them. When I first heard the chords of this song, it just led to this story. I can’t really explain why, I just felt it. Overall it’s a very intense song that talks about the empty spaces and empty places that no one knows about – the quiet places where the broken ones go. It’s about finding that space where you can go and gather your soul back and face the world again.”
Though the song has a bit of an edge to it, Natasha said it also displays the rich tones of her voice and her ability to feel the words and feel the song and share that emotion with her audience. She thrives on the emotion of the song.
Originally from Southern California, Natasha has been passionate about performing arts since she was just a child. She’s been dancing, acting and singing for as long as she can remember. Following her experiences in a few local music projects, she later decided to develop her solo career and worked with a talented team of professional musicians based in several countries around the world. As a result, she has developed a style that creates music that is a deep mirror into her soul and creative vision. Her approach to melody is immediate and instinctive, while also very catchy and classy, reflecting her unique international background with a sophisticated approach.
Earlier this year Natasha released the single “Tomorrow Will Come,” which has already started to gain her some attention within the music industry. With plans to return home to Los Angeles later this year, Natasha said this next single, “Empty Spaces,” is one that she hopes will create positive momentum toward the release of more music.
“At the end of the day I just want to be known as the real thing,” she said. “I want to be legit as the whole package. I want to be a legit musician, singer and reputable artist as a whole. I want people to recognize me as someone who, when I tell my stories, I make them feel. I also want my fans to know that I’m a long race horse in this industry. I’m not just a one-hit wonder. I’d love to have a hit, of course, but that’s not the end goal. I want to have a long career producing song after song and continue to release good stuff that tells real stories and ultimately connects with people.”
